The Art of Drawing with Chalk at the Yerba Buena Gardens

The Art of Drawing with Chalk at the Yerba Buena Gardens

There’s a certain art to drawing with chalk.  It involves only one thing: simply having a lot of fun and I learned it last Sunday from the kids at the Yerba Buena Gardens.

The Art of Drawing with Chalk

I was planning to check out a couple museums but ended up spending quite a big chunk of time watching and taking photos of kids having a blast while drawing with chalk at the gardens.  It was such a cool treat.

There was a lot of great activities for kids last Sunday, from arts and crafts to live music and circus performances.  There was also free admission to museums around the gardens: the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the new Contemporary Jewish Museum, the Museum of the African Diaspora and Zeum.

Kudos to Target for organizing the successful and fun-filled family block party.  And in times like these, nothing beats enjoying a great San Francisco Sunday with family and friends for free.
